TLDR - (short version)
The frames for the first batch of Vext cabinets arrived on Wednesday! Marking the start of assembling the first and only batch of Founders Edition Vext cabinets. Assembly is progressing well, with the team working hard to finish the cabinets, which will be ready for delivery next week. This marks an exciting new chapter for the Vext team as they transition into a new phase.
Frames arrived on Wednesday
We finally received the frames for the first batch of cabinets, the first and last batch of Founders Edition cabinets ever. The Founders Edition Vext cabinets are numbered (# of 25), and includes special perks like always having access to the newest software features, even without a membership, and of course bragging rights.
Assembly well on it's way!
After receiving the frames, we've been working long days to assemble your cabinets, and we're very happy with how they're turning out! Here are some sneak peeks on how they're coming along!
Here Niklas is inspecting a part of the batch, these cabinets are ready for their acrylics, grow lights and feet!
Here Vincent is cleaning and inspecting the bottom side of the mainboards. The mainboard enables the small computer in Vext to control the lights, pumps, fans etc. It also makes it possible to use connectors for the electronics, making them easy to replace!
Software updates
Vext cabinets will regularly receive over-the-air software updates that add new features and enhance existing ones over Wi-Fi. These features will often be based on customer feedback so if you have any feature requests or issues, let us know!
We expect to finish the majority of cabinets this week, and begin delivering them next week!
Ahead of the Vext team lies a completely new era, where our day to day tasks will look very different from what they have until now, in the best way possible.
After we've delivered the first batch of cabinets, we'll likely move away from the biweekly updates, and their content will change to reflect this new era.
