How It Works

Add the plant pods, fill the water tank, and set the light schedule. Vext takes care of the rest!

It gives your plants the water, nutrients, and light they need based on their type and age. The app reminds you when it’s time to refill water or nutrients, clean the tank, or harvest.

You only need to add water every 2–4 weeks and change the pods every few months to enjoy fresh greens every day.

  • 1. Pop in the pods

    Vext 2.0 comes with a variety of pods, including salad greens, cooking greens, herbs and vegetables. The pods are made of coco coir and responsibly sourced peat. All biodegradable, non-GMO, and pesticide-free!

  • 2. Add water to the tank

    Vext will automatically dose plant nutrients according to plant needs. You only need to add water to the tank every 2-4 weeks. The app reminds you when it's time for a refill.

  • 3. Watch the plants grow!

    In just a few weeks, the first greens are ready to harvest. The app let's you know which plants are ready to pick and you can use them in meals and recipes. Vext continues caring for the remaining plants without interruption.

What are the pods made of?

Our pods are made of a clean, soilless mix of coco coir and peat that supports reliable growth, while keeping roots airy and hydrated.

Each pod comes pre-seeded and ready to use, so you simply place it in the cabinet and let Vext handle the rest.

What is fogponics?

Fogponics is a growing method where plant roots are fed with a fine mist of water and nutrients. In Vext, the roots hang freely in air and are misted regularly using our patent-pending fog system. This means they receive water, nutrients, and oxygen at the same time, helping plants grow faster, more nutritious, and develop deeper flavor. All while using up to 95% less water compared to traditional growing.

What do I need to do to take care of Vext?

Here's what tasks you can expect from Vext.

Regular harvests: Daily/weekly harvests to promote healthy growth in your plants

Water refill: Every 2-4 weeks
