What do I need to do to take care of Vext?
The Vext app handles the details of caring for your Vext, only reminding you once it's time for a task, allowing you to enjoy peace of mind and focus on other things. Here's what tasks you can expect from Vext.
Water refill: Every 2-4 weeks

Nutrient refill: Every 4 months
(5 mins)
Quick clean: Cleaning the water tank before you refill it again 2 times per year
(10mins)
Full clean: Cleaning all surfaces of Vext 2 times per year
(20-30 mins)
Regular harvests: Daily/weekly harvests to promote healthy growth in your plants
What type of lights does Vext use?
Vext uses 80W full-spectrum grow lights, developed in-house by our team to optimize plant growth.
What is Vext made of?
Vext is crafted from premium food-grade powder coated steel & tempered glass.
We've chosen these materials for their exceptional qualities regarding food-safety and sustainability.
How much electricity does Vext use?
Vext at most only uses around 50kwh of electricity per month, which is when all your plants are mature.
Where can I buy new plants and nutrients?
Vext needs plant pods and nutrients, both are included in the starter package. You can also buy more from our webshop after launch.
Other alternatives:
- Vext members receive 27 free plant pods and nutrients every 4 months, as well as other perks like discounts and advanced features, check out our membership options to learn more.
- If you prefer a DIY approach or want to experiment, you can also purchase empty plant pods and nutrients separately.

Do I need a membership?
Nope! The Vext+ membership is completely optional, however it's the key to an effortless experience.

How often do I get new plant pods?
With the "Vext+ with Pods & Nutrients" option, you’ll receive 27 plant pods and a nutrient refill set delivered to you every four months.
If you ever need extra pods or nutrients in between deliveries, you can purchase them at a 30% discount—anytime.
When does my membership start?
Your membership starts when you activate it for the first time. From that point, you get access to the Vext+ features. You’ll also be able to select the pods for your first delivery.
