Buying a Vext.
5 questionsBatch 3 ships October 2026. Order any time before then to reserve your place, as long as spots remain. We send you an email with a confirmation when your cabinet leaves the warehouse.
As of now, Vext 2.0 ships to the countries listed below. We hope to expand to more European countries soon. Shipping is included in the cabinet price.

Getting started.
7 questionsThe cabinet is 45cm wide, 173cm tall, and 33cm deep. The power cable is 270cm. Leave about 50cm of clearance in front for the door to open. You need a Wi-Fi connection in the room.

Vext 2.0 ships in two boxes. Everything you need to set up and start growing is included.
Box A: the frame, plant wall, glass door, and side glass panels.
The size and weight of box A is 154 x 54 x 20cm (30kg)
Box B: the base, water tank lid, top panel, filters, power adapter, two nutrient bottles, and your Home Chef's starter pack of 27 pods. Enough to get started and keep growing for the first four months.
The size and weight of box B is 51 x 44 x 42cm (19kg)
Also inside Box B: the accessory box with 27 pod holders, plant starter, feet, water pump, drain tube, mounting hardware, door handle, and all the tools you need for setup.
Assembly takes about 30 minutes. Before you power on, fill the water tank with 10 litres of water. Then plug it in and connect to Wi-Fi via the app. Pop in the pods and fogging starts within the first hour.
Yes for setup.Yes for setup. After that, the cabinet runs on its own. The app is where you track each pod, see which plants need pruning, which are ready to harvest, and how long they have left. It also reminds you when to refill the water tank, swap the nutrient bottles, and clean the cabinet. Available on iOS and Android.

What to expect.
5 questionsSome leafy greens and herbs are ready in 4 to 6 weeks. Fruiting plants take a little longer, around 8 to 12 weeks. You can check the exact sprouting and harvest times for each plant on its pod page or in the app.

Yes, because the roots get water, nutrients, and oxygen at the same time. Results vary by plant species.
Remove the pod holder from the plant wall and clean the pod holder. Add a new pod and update the plant in the app.
Yes. Harvesting is one of the favourite parts for families with kids. Snipping herb, cutting leaves and refilling the water tank is something older children can do with a little guidance. Adding pods to the pod holders is easy enough for anyone.

Coco coir and responsibly sourced peat as the growing medium, pre-seeded with the plant variety. The pod itself is biodegradable. Pods are packed in recyclable cardboard. Non-GMO. No pesticides.
Anywhere from a couple of months to a year, depending on the variety. Most greens, herbs, and fruiting plants keep producing for several months. Radishes are a one-time harvest. The app tracks each pod and tells you when it is time to replace it.
Yes. Drop the used pod in your bio-waste.
Yes. If you want to experiment, we sell experimental plant pods you can seed yourself. Vext pods are the straightforward option. Experimental pods are there for anyone who wants to try something different.
Store pod packs vertically in the storage area in the base of the cabinet. Up to 6 pod packs fit. Pods stay viable for at least a year sealed.
The membership.
6 questionsVext+ is an optional membership for people who cook at home regularly. Each refill includes 3 pod packs of your choice, two nutrient bottles (Grow and Bloom), and free shipping. Three refills over the year. Members also get 30% off any additional pods and nutrients they order on top.
The growing supplies alone are worth €321. Vext+ costs €249 for one year, saving you €72. Or €419 for two years, saving you €223.
What's included across the year: 9 pod packs, 3 nutrient refills, 3 free deliveries, 30% off additional orders, access to Kare AI when it launches, and early access to new plant varieties.
Three pod packs of your choice from the full library, per refill. Pick the same three each time, or rotate as you go.
Two nutrient bottles, Grow and Bloom, are included with each Vext+ refill. The cabinet uses around 300ml of each over four months, which is exactly what one delivery covers.
You unlock three refills over the year. Order each refill when you are ready, The only thing to remember: refills not claimed before your term ends do not roll over.
Vext+ is a yearly or two-year term, paid up front. Three refills are included with each year of membership, to be claimed before the term ends. Anything not claimed does not roll over. We do not auto-renew memberships. When the term ends, the memberships ends, and you decide whether to start a new one.
You can purchase Vext+ on the website at any time. Buying it at the same time as the cabinet saves more, depending on the term you choose.
Care and maintenance.
5 questionsEvery three months, alternating between two types. A quick clean focuses on the water tank and takes around 15 minutes. A fresh start is a deeper clean of the full system, including the root zone and fogger, and takes around 30 minutes. The app reminds you when each one is due and walks you through the steps.
Empty the tank completely, then wipe the inside with a cloth dampened in mild dish soap or a diluted white vinegar solution. Dry it thoroughly before refilling. The app will remind you when it is due.
Mold thrives in warm, humid environments, which are also the conditions your plants grow best in. White fuzz or mold on pods is usually harmless. Read our full guide here on what to do about it.
Reach under the base, remove the filter holder, and vacuum or rinse the filter. If you rinse the wilter, wait for the filter to dry before placing it back. The filters are designed to be reused for years, you can buy a replacement if needed.

All metal parts are powder-coated steel. The water tank is powder-coated stainless steel. Tempered glass for the door and side panels. Pod holders are made of food-grade TPE.
Yes. The cabinet door stays closed during operation. The water tank is enclosed. The LEDs are behind acrylic. Cats find it interesting, but they cannot get to anything that would hurt them or the plants.
No. The cabinet generates its own humidity using the fogging system.

If something is wrong.
4 questionsYes, within 60 days of delivery. The cabinet must be in resellable condition with the original packaging. You pay return shipping. Once the cabinet is inspected and confirmed in good condition, the refund processes within 14 days.
Vext 2.0 has a two-year limited warranty covering replacement of parts that fail from a defect in materials or workmanship under normal use. It does not affect your statutory consumer rights. Full terms here.
The warranty does not cover damage from misuse, accidents, neglect, or improper maintenance. It also does not cover faults caused by not following the instructions, or by unauthorized repairs and modifications. Full terms here.
