Update #029 - Batch 1 & 2 manufacturing has started!

We’ve got some exciting progress to share, and as always, we want to take you behind the scenes as Vext 2.0 moves into production.
🔧 Final prototype verification at the factory
Mikael flew over 20 hours to visit our factory and personally verify the final Vext 2.0 prototypes. Being there in person allowed him to experience the product exactly as it will be used at home and confirm that every detail meets our expectations before moving into production.
While at the factory, Mikael worked closely with the local engineering team to refine the final details. Some changes were measured in fractions of a millimeter, but these are the decisions that define the feel of the cabinet, the precision of the fit, and the longevity of the product.
We paid close attention to how parts come together. The water tank lid sits flush, and the built-in plant starter fits perfectly into its slot, keeping the system tidy, intuitive, and visually calm.
The level of hands-on collaboration achieved during the trip is essential to us. It’s how we ensure that Vext doesn’t just work well, but feels thoughtfully made in every interaction.
While at the factory, Mikael also reviewed a small design improvement that we can thank some of you for. The magnetic latch screw is now black, making it far less noticeable and better aligned with Vext’s clean, minimal design.
High-performance grow lights are essential for healthy plants, but bright, harsh lighting doesn’t belong in a living space. We chose tinted glass to soften the light coming from the cabinet, reducing glare and visual noise while preserving optimal growing conditions inside. It’s a deliberate balance between plant performance and a calm, home-friendly design.
📦 Manufacturing is officially underway
Thanks to this final verification and refinement work, we’re happy to share that manufacturing for both Batch 1 and Batch 2 is now underway.
The production deposit has been paid, everything is moving according to plan, and we’re on schedule for March delivery. From here on, the focus shifts fully to execution, quality control, and keeping you updated as your Vext moves through production.
🎉 Batch 2 sold out
We’re incredibly happy to share that Batch 2 has now fully sold out. Seeing this level of trust and excitement around Vext 2.0 means a lot to us, and it’s a big milestone for the team. With Batch 2 complete, we’ve now opened Batch 3 for orders, with delivery scheduled for June 2026. As always, we’re pacing production carefully to maintain quality and consistency as we scale.
📅 Reservation refunds
As promised from the start, reservations remain refundable up until the point where the project moves into production. Now that manufacturing is officially underway, we’ll be ending reservation refunds on 31.12.2025.
If you’d like to request a refund before then, simply reach out to support@vext.fi with your reservation number, and our team will help you promptly. After this date, reservations will no longer be refundable as production commitments are fully in motion.
