Do I need the app?

The Vext app is required to set up and run the cabinet. The app walks you through assembly, offers tips and guidance as your plants grow, notifies you when it’s time to harvest or clean, and quietly monitors the system in the background.

The Vext app connects to your garden via Wi-Fi to give you peace of mind, control, and guidance wherever you are.

Where should I keep Vext?

Vext should be placed indoors, near a power outlet where the temperature is 18-24°C.

Because Vext has built in LED grow lights you don't need to look for a sunny spot!

What if I'm going on a trip?

No problem. Vext is designed to keep caring for your plants even when you’re away. Fill the water tank before you leave, and Vext takes care of the rest.

How often do I need to refill the watertank?

Refills are needed every 2-4 weeks depending on the stage of the plants. Standard tap water is fine in most cases.

How much water does Vext need?

Vext waters plants by gently misting the roots instead of soaking soil, so very little water is wasted. Because of this, it uses up to 95% less water than traditional growing.

How much electricity does Vext use?

At most, Vext uses around 50 kWh of electricity per month, when all plants are fully grown.
